About Financial Aid at
HGTC
The financial aid program at
Horry-Georgetown Technical College seeks to provide assistance to anyone
who demonstrates financial need and has a desire to attend college. The
responsibility of meeting college costs lies primarily with the
student and the student's family. However, when
a student and/or student's family meets its
financial responsibility to the maximum
extent of its ability, the College seeks to
provide assistance for the remaining amounts.
All financial aid is awarded
without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, national
origin, disability, or other individual distinction.

FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS!!!
SOUTH CAROLINA STUDENT LOAN EXIT INTERVIEW NOTICE
Students completing graduation requirements during the current year
(fall 06, spring 07 and summer 07) who have received federal student
loans are required to complete an exit interview with the
guarantor. Please visit the website of the South Carolina Student Loan
Corporation (http://www.scstudentloan.org)
to satisfy this requirement.
Students who have ever received loans and notice of this requirement on
WaveNet should complete the interview as soon as possible. Students who
have never received federal loans should advise the Office of Student
Financial Aid to have the requirement removed and avoid possible delays
in clearing their files for graduation.
