Requirements for new applicants applying for associate
degree, diploma, or certificate programs:

Be at least 18 years of
age or possess a high school diploma or high school
equivalency diploma/certificate. |

Complete and return
College admission application and $25 nonrefundable
application fee. |
 |
Submit SAT, ACT scores
or call and make an appointment to take the
college
placement test at one of our campus sites. |
 |
Submit high school
transcript — request that an official high school transcript
be forwarded to the Admissions Office. |
 |
Submit college
transcripts — request that official college transcripts be
forwarded to the Admissions Office. |
Undeclared
Major Students
 |
Placement into certain
courses is restricted. Course prerequisites and course
placement requirements must be met. |
 |
A student is limited to
24 semester credit hours as an Undeclared Major. |
 |
A student accepted as
an Undeclared Major is not eligible for federal or state
financial aid (including Lottery Tuition Assistance) or
veterans' benefits. |
South
Carolina Residency Requirements
 |
An applicant's
residency classification for tuition purposes is determined
by the Admissions staff at the time an admission application
is submitted in accordance with
South Carolina Code of Laws
#59-112-10 to
#59-112-100 and college policies and procedures. |

To request a residency
review, a student must complete the
Application for Review
of Residency Classification form, available online or in the
Admissions Office at all campuses. The student will be
notified of the residency decision within one week. |
 |
Appeals of residency
decisions may be made to the Associate Vice President for
Enrollment Development. |
