HGTC COLLEGE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The purpose of this program is to develop and/or enhance an individual’s leadership skills, encourage student persistence, and increase self-esteem by establishing a group of enthusiastic HGTC students to assist other students in their transition from high school or work to HGTC. College ambassadors assist with campus tours, new student orientation, registration periods, graduation, Educational Opportunity Days at area high schools, University Transfer Day, the Alumni Phon-a-Thon, and other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Student Development and Campus Life.

College Ambassadors are currently enrolled HGTC students who are available to work three hours per week in the Career Services, Counseling & Planning Office in Conway. Ambassadors must have a 2.5 or higher GPA to be eligible for nomination for the program and to continue in the program after selection.

Individuals who are interested in applying for the College Ambassador program should speak with the Associate Vice President for Student Development and Campus Life in Conway (843-349-5258).
