Technicians gain employment with federal natural resource agencies, state forestry and wildlife departments, lumber companies, pulp and paper companies, timber harvesting operations, and forestry consulting firms. Historically, over 90% of the graduates of the Forestry Management Technology Program have secured employment within the profession or elected to continue their education at the four-year level. Current entry level salaries average $26,000, with a range of $24,000 to $30,000. Women and minorities who possess an interest in the field of forestry have excellent opportunities for employment and are in high demand.
