Mission and Welcome
It is the mission of the Early Care and Education Department at Horry-Georgetown Technical College  

           to provide philosophical, theoretical and hands-on experiences in order to professionally prepare early childhood educators for their role in maximizing
           the development and learning of young children birth to age five, while collaborating with colleagues, and involving families and the community.

Students in the ECE program at HGTC receive an education in modern, well-equipped and highly interactive facilities, under the leadership of dynamic and caring childhood and education specialists.
