Degree: HEALTH SCIENCE (HSC)

Credit Requirements: 26 or 27 semester credit hours

This certificate provides students with an opportunity to take general education and biomedical science courses while seeking acceptance to the Dental Hygiene, Nursing or Radiologic Technology program. THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THESE COURSES DOES NOT GUARANTEE STUDENT’S ACCEPTANCE INTO THE DENTAL HYGIENE PROGRAM, but may help better qualify them for program acceptance and progression.

Once into the program, students may transfer these courses to meet general education requirements. Students must earn a grade of “C” or better for a course to transfer into the associate degree.

Legend: Students should select the required general education courses for the specific program for which they are seeking acceptance. Dental Hygiene requires 27 credit hours due to additional science course.
