Degree: Advanced Certificate in DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHY (DMS7)

Credit Requirements:  39 semester credit hours

 

Note: Students with enough credits to qualify for a degree in Occupational Technology may graduate with a Degree in Occupational Technology, with a Major or Emphasis in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

 

Diagnostic Medical Sonographers use the physical attributes of sound waves at high frequencies to produce diagnostic images used for interpretation and diagnosis by qualified physicians. These images may be viewed on a screen or recorded on film for a permanent record.

 

NOTE: There are specific requirements and prerequisites for placement into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Please see the Admissions Office or an advisor for details.
