Greetings from the Communications Department,
In the teaching of basic freshman composition,
literature, business communication, technical
communication, public speaking, and interpersonal
communication, our faculty interact with virtually every
student enrolled at Horry-Georgetown Technical College.
We maintain a presence on every campus of HGTC as well
as within five local high schools via our PACE program.
Our faculty are devoted to creative, insightful,
and enthusiastic instruction utilizing the most
up-to-date technology within our classrooms.
This is an exciting time for our Department. Our
faculty publish and present on relevant and innovative
trends within local, regional, and national forums. We
will host the Two-Year College English
Association-Southeast Regional Conference in February
2006. We host the Institute in Technical
Communication, a conference attracting attendees from
four-year colleges and universities, two-year colleges,
and high schools across the United States and
Canada. Additionally, we are currently in the incipient
stages of the creation of a new literary magazine to
portray the artistic talents of our students at HGTC.
We hope that you will enjoy our web pages and feel
free to contact us if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Michael Williams
