Mission
Statement
| The Purpose of the
Mathematics Department is to empower the HGTC student with the
appropriate analytical, quantitative and reasoning skills necessary
to successfully complete his or her chosen field of study in
certificate and diploma programs. For the students in an associate
degree program, a second part of the department's purpose is to
provide first and second year mathematics courses that are rigorous
enough to allow a student to transfer to a four-year college or
comprehensive university and be able to continue his or her studies
on a solid mathematics background. |
